22nd Annual Fall Festival
Description: Join farmers as they plant, thresh, winnow and grind wheat. Maps with corresponding field markers are used to guide visitors to areas where they watch or help with the wheat work. Those who have their maps stamped at each of six 'Help-the-Farmer' stations get to take home a bag of freshly ground whole wheat flour complete with recipe. There is a whole wheat bake sale, wheat weaving demonstrations and crafts, and wheat straw wagon rides. On Saturday, thresher men, women and children can enjoy music by the Jugtown Mountain Band.

Appetizers will be provided by Maggie's Catering of Rumson and Brandl's of Belmar. Tasty selections will also be offered by chocolatiers like Suzi's Sweet Shoppe, Red Bank Chocolate Shoppe, Whole Foods-offering their chocolate fountain, Green & Black's of London organic chocolates and Cocoa Vino of NYC. A tasting, pairing wines with a variety of chocolates, will also be offered. The tasting will be hosted by Candela Prol DWS, CWE of the International Wine Center in NYC with over 20 years of experience in all major aspects of the wine business, along with Gerard M. St-Cyr and Christine St. Cyr, proprietors of The Wine Knot. Raffle tickets to win a stunning chocolate brown shearling coat are available for $25 each and an exciting silent auction will take place throughout the night. The proceeds of this event will be used for educational, charitable, and community programs for children and families at risk in Monmouth County.
